Sunday morning. The sky is grey, the chance of rain is about 40 %. Time for a short trip to Camburg by bike and maybe further on to the castles of Dornburg. From Bad Kösen I cycle via Lengefeld, Saaleck, Kleinheringen and Kaatschen to Camburg. The weather stays dry. Whereas the outward journey is unhurried the way back is stressful.
You know that: commercial brochures always promise you the best experience ever. The brochure „Naturelebnis Saale-Unstrut“ just told me that visiting and hiking aroudn the Geiseltalsee would be it. The lake is supposed to be the biggest man-made of its kind within Germany. We intend to bicycle around the water body. The circle around the lake is 26 km long.
