Christina/ April 20, 2009/ Culture

Shortly before eastern I received a gift from the British capital: The catalogue accompanying the exhibition “Shah ‘Abbas and the Treasures of Imperial Iran”. An attentive acquaintance who knows my affinity for Arabic Culture (and Persian as well) gave the book to me.

On overall 67 coloured images of the exhibition items it is truely possible to dive into the times of Shah Abbas.

Information on the exhibition and on opening hours.

The exhibition will last until June 14th. Details on the objects are given here.

An elaborated review of the exhibition is presentedd by Qantara.de: Persian history between world politics. Who wants to learn more reads up on Deutschlandradio Kultur. The Reconstruction of the Iran is about the topic.
