To put it in a nutshell: The Udo Lindenberg exhibition in Braunschweig is fun! Udo’s pictures celebrate life, do not take it too seriously and bolster the spectator up to follow the lead. I can just say thank you to both, Udo Lindenberg for turning 75 recently and the Pr\u00fcsse-Stiftung for dedicating this exhibition to Braunschweig on the occasion of his anniversary. The show is prolongated until July 9th, 2021 at the Kemenate an der Hagenbr\u00fcck<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I am doing it my way<\/strong>
\nUdo’s slogan “I am doing it my way” comes to light in his pictures and has an effect on the observer. The drawings deliver so much zest for life that two things instantly come to my mind: a) he is right and b) why not follow his lead? <\/p>\n

Doing it your way does not mean to be reckless against all others and do whatever comes into your mind. No it’s all about being true to oneself and to have the courage to live one’s own life.<\/p>\n

Reach for your star<\/strong>
\nAnd there is another drawing that impresses me that underlines the previous message: “Reach for your stars”. Because every single life has another star in mind and that can be a very individual one and does not (necessarily) have to fulfill social expectations. I talked about this phenomena in one of my blog posts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Think big – fly high<\/strong>
\nBecause only the ones who dare to live free and that is the message I ascribe to Lindenberg’s drawings can fly high because he knows that he will be will be caught and can trust himself.<\/p>\n

Don’t panic<\/strong>
\nTo my mind there is too much panic (mongering) in our society. Permanently politicians, the media, the economy and the medical science scares us and threatens us with consequences. Whoever lives in fear and dread cannot enjoy life at the same time. I think it is time to leave the wrong track and change to the Andrea Doria that knows no panic because today everything is all right on the Andrea Doria!<\/p>\n

I have not been a big Lindenberg fan so far but after visiting this show that might change and I can say from the bottom of my heart: Germany needs more of Udo Lindenberg.<\/p>\n
